Pieter contributes to new album Anton Roolaart
After the well-received debut Art-Rock CD from Anton Roolaart entitled Dreamer in 2007, Anton has come back as an independent artist with a new dreamy and intriguing single entitled Gravity. His music portrays the quintessence of melodic progressive rock accompanied with lush orchestration and this tune is certain to capture the listener's attention.
A mostly self-taught composer and musician (with the guitar as his main instrument), Anton continues to bring new and familiar sounds to the genre. Gravity presents the listener with wonderful melodies, guitars, textures and keyboards supported by herculean bass lines and drums. He does this with the help of some talented friends and musicians; one of them is Pieter van Hoorn of Knight Area.
Like the first album, Gravity was written and produced by Anton. It has been mastered by Andy Jackson (Pink Floyd sound engineer) and will also become part of a full album Anton is planning to release in the spring of 2012. Anton produces his music in his home studio in the New York City area. The drum tracks were recorded in studio The Pitt in The Netherlands, the same studio of the drum recordings of Nine Paths.
The first song of the album (Gravity) is available as download on cdbaby.com.
